Students entering Kindergarten have entry requirements that include the appropriate type of vaccine administrations and the correct number of doses for the student's age. NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has set up a new online dashboard to help parents determine the vaccine requirements for their child's entry to Kindergarten.

Aug 14 First Day of School
Aug 14-16 Staggered Entry for Kindergarten (a part of the kindergarten will come one of these three days, parents will receive an email with the assigned date, parents will be asked to stay for a parent meeting at 8:00 am on the assigned day)
Aug 19 K Open House
Aug 20 First Day for ALL Kindergarten Students.

We are excited to welcome your child back to school and look forward to a productive and successful academic year ahead. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
We hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation. There is still lots going on here during the summer. It is our time to really prepare for the upcoming school year. One piece that we want to be sure we have is your child's transportation for the 24-25 school year. Please complete this form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc26OqoCiLJW2sEb1KpOJEWpYhgnw8q8ijUSSSF5gdMXBIheA/viewform?usp=sf_link) for each child we have here at JRI. If your child will be a bus rider there is an additional form to complete from the district, it is linked within this form. Please complete the transportation form by July 1.
If you have already completed the district bus form no need to complete ours too unless you also need car tags.
We are thrilled to announce that for the 2024-2025 school year, ALL students in ALL schools will receive FREE breakfast and lunch!
