Cheer on Southern Lee' band and students in the parade tonight.
The Central Carolina Jaycees' annual Sanford Christmas Parade is tonight at 7:00 p.m. in downtown Sanford.
The parade will follow the traditional route starting at the intersection of Carthage and Wicker streets. It will then travel up Wicker Street to Steele Street, over to Carthage Street and back around to the starting point.
Side streets along the parade route will close at 5:30 p.m. where they intersect with route. For example, at 5:30 p.m., a barricade will be placed where Carbonton Road intersects with Carthage Street.
The entire parade route will be closed to thru-traffic by 6:30 p.m., including:
Wicker Street
Steele Street
Carthage Street
Park Avenue
Tryon Street
The Sanford Police Department will close Horner Boulevard at 6:30 p.m. to minimize the disruption to thru-traffic.
The City encourages everyone to get into place as soon as possible to avoid any confusion.
Streets will re-open immediately following the parade.

Dress warm this week as lows are 20 or below several days.

When you open The Saber (our yearbook), you'll want to immediately flip to the back to see the Senior Pages. This is where your or your family can let you know how special your last 12 years have been.
Scan or see Mrs. Ward to design your page.
