Our area experiences a partial solar eclipse today from 1:57-4:28 pm. The maximum partial eclipse in Sanford is at 3:14 pm. A few reminders:
It is NEVER safe to look directly at the Sun. Looking at the Sun, even briefly, can cause permanent damage to your retinas and even blindness.
The only glasses which are safe for using are those labeled as ISO 12312-2 certified. Regular sunglasses, swimming goggles, smartphones, cameras, and telescopes are NOT safe for looking directly at the Sun.
Outdoor activities within LCS will be limited until after 4:30 p.m. Have fun and stay safe!

The aim of their presentation was to raise awareness about the issue and provide strategies for prevention. The AVID students engaged the middle school students with interactive exercises and discussions, allowing for an open dialogue about the impact of bullying on individuals and the importance of creating a safe and inclusive school environment. The presentation also included information about the various forms of bullying, such as verbal, physical, emotional, and cyberbullying, emphasizing the negative consequences they can have on a person's mental well-being.
