Good evening Tiger Families! This is a reminder that there will be no school for students on Monday, February 17th in honor of President's Day. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with our Second and Third grade small groups. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Mr. Beasley. We would also like to remind everyone to fill out our Middle of the Year Parent Survey. The link is listed on our website, in the parent newsletter and on our Class Dojo. Lastly, we would like to remind everyone that our tardy bell rings at 7:55am. Please make sure to have your child at school on time. We have a lot of students with excessive tardies. Phone calls are being made to help resolve this problem. Every minute counts and we would love to have all students at school on time if possible! Tomorrow will be our last day collecting money for Candy grams. Candy grams can be given to your child’s teachers or your child’s friends if they desire. The cost is $1.00. They are sold in the morning time only and we will prepare for distribution on Friday afternoon.

This week during our reading block we have been reading about winter animals. We learned some animals hibernate, while others migrate. Today we learned how penguins can life in such cold places and enjoy it! They have blubber and feathers that are so tight water can’t get through!! We conducted a science experiment this afternoon by putting our hands in two separate bags, one bag had “blubber” around it while the other didn’t. Both bags were in a bowl of ice water!! We talked about how the one with blubber did not feel cold while the other one was VERY cold! 🥶 So much fun exploring with these kiddos!
Good Evening Tiger Families! We would like to invite all parents who are willing to work with our small groups in Second or third grade to volunteer! You can reach out to Mr. Beasley for more information. On Wednesday, February 12th, we will once again have T&M Barber College on campus to continue with the free haircuts! The students who did not receive their haircut last week, will receive it this week. This is going to be a weekly partnership with the Barber College! We are very excited for the opportunity to have them on our campus weekly! Just a friendly reminder that our tardy bells rings at 7:55am. All students who arrive after the bell rings will need to be signed in at the Front Office. We look forward to seeing everyone bright and early in the morning! Have a great evening!
