Parent Week 9/16-9/20

Everyone knows that at LEC we have amazing students, but we know that they couldn't be as amazing as they are without the support of super awesome parents! At LEC , we believe that when parents and schools work together, students have the best chance for success. As part of parent week, we will be shining the spotlight on some of our LEC Parents to highlight the importance of school and parent partnerships.

Meet the Seymores

Mr. and Mrs. Seymore are the parents of 2024 graduate, Armani. During their daughter's time at LEC they encouraged her to participate in many activities. She certainly listened to them as Armani became a familiar face around campus with teachers and students alike. We are grateful to the Seymore family for allowing us to be a part of Armani's educational journey!

When asked to reflect on her time at LEC Mrs. Seymore shared her experience as an LEC Parent:

Choosing LEC was one of the best decisions we as a family could have ever made for our daughter, Armani Seymore. Initially Armani wasn’t so much in agreement. She was afraid of loosing her long time friends, thought she would miss out on prom and other high school events. Thank goodness that was short lived. Once Armani enrolled at LEC, she quickly met new friends and was still able to keep the current friends and they made sure she didn’t miss out on all the high school events. She got invited to the prom, they made sure she knew when all the sporting events were happening and etc…. All while she was preparing for the life ahead after high school.

Armani became very familiar with majority of the staff at LEC, who were very helpful during her stay. She still stays in touch with staff and other classmates as they cheer her on.

Armani graduated with her high school diploma and her associate degree in arts from LEC and is now enrolled as a “JUNIOR ” at North Carolina Central University majoring in Political Science. Which by the way has saved us two years of college tuition. Armani was able to make lots of memories at LEC, even though it wasn’t the normal high school experience as we as parents didn’t experience. It was the absolute best experience for us! We encouraged other parents to be open minded, think of the jump start you could possibly give your child that is cost effective! (FREE) We are witnesses that your child will appreciate it. Even though Armani wasn’t to excited at the beginning, she has now told us how grateful she is that we pushed and supported her during this time!
