Hi everyone! My name is Megan Deinhart and I am the school counselor here at Greenwood. I recently got married, so you may remember me from last year as Ms. Montana. I thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Greenwood and am very excited to be here for a second year! As the school counselor, my role consists of:
Short-term one-on-one counseling for a variety of mental health and social/emotional needs
Referrals for long-term counseling as necessary
Group counseling for students with a common need
Classroom lessons focused on social emotional learning and development
504 plan coordination
Helping families in need find available resources
Communicating with families on their student's mental and emotional wellbeing as necessary
Ongoing support for the entire Greenwood family
I am passionate about my job because I truly believe in supporting the whole child, providing children with mental health support from a young age, and creating a school environment where every student feels loved, welcomed, and important.
