My name is Heather Yow-Thomas (or preferably Nurse Heather). I am the school nurse here at Deep River. My goal for the School Health Program is to help your child stay as healthy as possible, allowing them to develop to their full academic potential and decrease missed instructional time.

Hi! I’m Brooke Hartson, the School Social Worker at Deep River Elementary. As a school social worker, I support the academic and emotional needs of students. I assist students and their families in overcoming barriers to education by connecting them to resources within the school and the community. I assist with student enrollment, provide McKinney Vento services to families that have been displaced from their permanent residence (Families in Transition), and address chronic absenteeism. I also help to improve the communication between families and the school by conferencing with families and making home visits.
