HOFFLER CHOSEN AS 2023 "EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN EDUCATOR OF EXCELLENCE" FOR LCS

Ms. Charlotte Hoffler, an exceptional children (EC) teacher at Greenwood Elementary, has been chosen as Lee County Schools EC Educator of Excellence for 2023. She will now represent Lee County Schools as an EC Educator of Excellence at the 72nd Conference on Exceptional Children in October. One educator from each of the 115 traditional school systems, one each from the Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Division of Prison Education Services, Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities, and Education Services for the Deaf and Blind Schools, and one educator per region from charter schools is receiving this special tribute.

Recipients are those people who are recognized as leaders in their school system for their innovative instructional programs and methodologies. In addition, these recipients have displayed dedication and service in extracurricular and nonacademic activities that have improved the quality of education for exceptional children and young people. Ms. Hoffler has demonstrated all of these fine qualities in her work at Greenwood.

"Ms. Hoffler is incredibly gifted and passionate about serving our EC students at Greenwood," said Christian Chaney, Principal at the school. "Her students love her. Her colleagues are constantly amazed by her talent and effort. She makes Greenwood a better place each day, and we could not be prouder to have her representing Lee County Schools with this award."
