Who We Are
Warren Williams School has eight classrooms taught by North Carolina Licensed Early Childhood Educators. Each classroom is assisted by Instructional Assistants who have extensive knowledge of early childhood development. During the school day other staff members may work with children who require specialized services such as speech/language or occupational and physical therapy.
Warren Williams School operates classes from 8:00 A.M. through 2:30 P.M. and follows the regular Lee County Schools calendar. The school holds a total of 140 preschoolers. Warren Williams also offers Transportation, on a limited basis, for our students.
Our focus is on the whole child; to help children succeed in school and in life as well, by providing researched based and rich developmentally appropriate experiences. Children will learn to develop positive relationships, develop self esteem, thinking skills, and an enthusiasm for learning that improves their language, literacy, math, and social skills. We are an intervention program that serves a population in which students are at risk, typically developing, and/or requiring behavioral support.
Vision Statement
Warren Williams vision is that we as staff will help each child reach his or her fullest potential in all areas of life.
Mission Statement
Our goal is to build effective partnerships between our school, students, parents, and the community. To provide a safe, hands on learning environment based on the children's interest and developmental needs.
Principal - Mrs Silvia Huffer
I decided to become a teacher because I wanted to make a positive difference in the educational path of children. I have a strong belief that all children can learn and have the ability to reach their fullest potential to be successful in life. This is the reason that I'm honored to be the principal at Warren Williams School. Warren Williams provides all children with developmentally appropriate practices with highly qualified staff.
I was born in Colombia but am proud to say that I'm a US citizen! I graduated in Early Childhood Education with a Bachelor of Science from the Universidad Pedagogica Nacional in Bogota, Colombia - South America. Once I arrived in the United States of America I added English as a Second Language licensure from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I continued my education and graduated with a Masters of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
