Title 1

J.R. Ingram Elementary is a School-wide Title 1 school. What does “school-wide Title 1” mean? Our school receives Federal money based on the enrollment numbers of students eligible for free/reduced lunch.  The money is used to improve academic achievement. The Title 1 funds are used to hire personnel, improve curriculum, enhance parent involvement and extend learning time for students who need extra help. These opportunities are provided to students throughout the school.

At J.R. Ingram Elementary, a Title 1 school, parents and community members are welcome and invited to participate in the various activities and involvement options we have at our school. We believe that a partnership with our parents and community is essential to ensure the academic success of our students.
